Fancy a different experience? Discover the best way to do it with a day trip snowshoeing in the Sierra Nevada.

Snowshoes are a technical device that allows us to traverse the snowy terrain faster than walking, as they provide greater buoyancy than the soles of your boots. The goal of this excursion is for you to enjoy nature and the snow in a group or as a family. Immerse yourself in the winter mountains and discover unique landscapes!

Route difficulty:
Medium-Low, with an ascent of around 200m and a descent of 320m.

At 9:00 a.m., the Yurok team will meet participants at the designated meeting point, depending on weather and snow conditions.

Equipment will be handed out, and a mountain guide will explain the proper use of snowshoes and poles, safety rules, and progression techniques. The goal is to take a walk through the high Sierra Nevada, where we can more clearly observe the highest peaks in this range: Mulhacén and Veleta.

A fun route where we'll enjoy the snow without being experts and learn how to progress with snowshoes on both uphill and downhill slopes in a winter environment unique on the Iberian Peninsula.
