Objectives:
Learn progression and safety techniques on moderately difficult mountain routes and ascents that require basic rope use: ridges, traverses, climbs, and rappels. Also learn set-up and rappelling techniques.
Contents:
Specific mountaineering equipment and supplies. Risk awareness and prevention. Rock gesturing techniques. Knots and basic rope belay maneuvers: traverses, climbs, rappels, rappels, handrails, etc. Rope progression and belaying on steep terrain, ridges, and ridges. Belaying and rappelling. Troubleshooting.
Duration: One weekend (Saturday and Sunday) or two days, approximately from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Location: Sierra de Guadarrama, Madrid.
Group: Minimum 1 student. Maximum 6 students.
Requirements: Have completed a Level 1 Introductory Mountaineering course or have proven experience in hiking or mountaineering.
Price per person: €140.00
Includes:
One mountaineering instructor.
Two intensive days of mountaineering training, steep terrain, and rappelling.
Individual mountaineering and rappelling equipment: helmet and harness.
Approved group equipment (ropes, Reverso or ATC-type belay devices, quickdraws, carabiners, etc.).

Personal equipment required for the course:
Hiking boots suitable for snow resistance. Winter pants, fleece, and a snow jacket. Preferably a Gore-Tex jacket or similar fabric. Gloves, hat, and sunglasses. A small backpack (minimum 25L), a 1.5-liter water bottle, sunscreen, and a change of clothes.
