Aneto Ascent / Aneto Climb
Difficulty: D (grades IV and IV+). The traditional route doesn't actually follow the ridge but instead seeks the easiest route. If you try to follow the ridge almost entirely, the difficulty increases significantly.
Altitude gain: 1,000 m approach to the ridge
Approximately 700-800 m on the ridge (approximately 2.5 km)
Time: 3-4 hours approach
6-10 hours on the ridge
2-4 hours descent (in spring, if there is snow, the descent can be much faster)

Day 1
Approach
From Plan de la Besurta (1,900 m), we take a trail toward Plan de Aigualluts. Before reaching this amazing plain, we pass through the well-known Forau de Aigualluts. We cross Plan de Aigualluts and head toward the valley that opens to our right, right at the foot of Aneto.
Once at the foot of the Aneto glacier, we continue through the small valley, which, passing through a small, higher pass, allows us to avoid having to avoid Barrancs Lake and takes us past it.
The final climb to Salenques Pass, where the climb begins, runs through a difficult scree slope if there is no snow. At this point, we can choose between starting the climb at the Salenques Pass itself (2,810 m) or on top of a rocky outcrop located a little higher to the right (2,900 m).
If you spend two days on the activity, this is a good spot for a bivouac.
Day 2
Ascent
A long and beautiful climb in which we will connect several peaks that exceed 3,000 m in altitude, such as Torre de Salenques (3,148 m), the most difficult of all with numerous IV-grade passes, Pico Margalida (3,241 m), Pico Tempestades (3,296 m), La Espalda del Aneto (3,343 m), and Aneto (3,404 m).
Descent
From the summit of Aneto and passing through the Mahoma Pass, we will descend to the Coronas Pass. From the pass, descend along the normal Aneto route, passing through the Portillón Superior and the Renclusa refuge, to finally reach Plan de la Besurta.
