Central Spur 400, 5
Opened by: J. Roig, C. Torregrosa, and M. Gascón in March 1966
Pitch 1: Joining the first two original pitches, we create a very nice pitch. Here we'll find some bolts and set up the first belay on two good parabolts.
Pitch 2: Coming out to the right of the belay, a few meters away we'll find an easy-to-protect crack with an exit point. Once past the point, we continue straight until we pass a distinctive tree, as we'll have to do a monkey-tight maneuver around it, and just above it we'll make the second belay on friends.
Pitch 3: A short pitch that will take us to the base of the spur to belay another large tree. It's advisable to belay here so we can complete the next pitch in one go.
Pitch 4: A nice pitch that now runs above the marked spur. We'll set up the belay on a parabolt and a bolt.
Pitch 5: A fun pitch with a short, enjoyable dihedral. The rest is an easy climb until you reach a large tree where you can set up a belay here or elsewhere, as there are cracks for belaying with friends.
Pitch 6: We exit on the left side of the belay and head towards the spur again. A beautiful pitch, easy to protect. Here we will find a nice, well-protected vertical slab passage. We will belay over two bolts.
Pitch 7: Another nice pitch with a protected passage. The rest is well protected, and the final section, if we go straight out, is much more beautiful and aerial.
Pitch 8: A transition pitch with a few small steps. We can skip the next belay and set up the belay almost reaching the end of the route, where we will see a bolt that, reinforced with a friend, will suffice. From here to the end of the route, where the descent markers are located, it will be grade II.
