The Climbing Self-Rescue course is for those who want to enjoy climbing with a greater sense of safety, both for the leader and their partner.

The Yurok guide will meet you at the designated meeting point and provide your equipment.
The course will cover:
- Specific equipment and materials: Helmet, harness, dynamic ropes, auxiliary lanyards, types of brakes, carabiners, fixed anchors, mobile anchors, stirrups, pulleys, and micro-blockers.
- Knots
Lashing knots: Figure eight, double figure eight, nine, and clove hitch.
Self-blocking knots: Prusik, single-bight Machard, double-bight Machard, double-bight Machard with double carabiner, and Bachman.
Special knots: Dynamic, Remi, and Heart.
Joining knots: Double fisherman's knot, facing figure eight, and single eyelet.
Leaving knots: Mule and Mariner's.
Fixed rope ascents: Setting ascenders, knots, micro-blockers, and brakes.
- Fixed Rope Descent: Positioning ascenders, brakes, and knots.
- Makeshift equipment: Technique for descending on a taut rope, descending and ascending with knots.
- Load transfers: Passing a knot through the brake.
- Partner Ascent/Descent: Block, counterweight, rappelling with a running head, and techniques for rappelling with an injured partner.
- Resources: Descents with damaged ropes and unsafe descents.
- Rescue and evacuation: Action protocol and how to call for help.
€150 per person
Each group is composed of a maximum of 4 participants. If the minimum number of 2 participants per day is not reached, the activity will be canceled, and the booked participants will be notified at least 3 days in advance.
The ratio will always be 1 instructor per 6 participants.
A spot is considered reserved once 100% of the activity fee has been paid.

Minimum personal equipment required per person:
Comfortable mountain clothing, hiking shoes or boots (essential), a hat and sunglasses, sunscreen and lip balm, water (minimum 1.5 liters), fruit, and energy bars.
