With our Level 1 course, learning to climb couldn't be more fun. You'll be completely independent and can climb anywhere. You'll learn rappelling techniques, climbing techniques, knots, different ways to secure your partner, and much more.

Getting started in climbing is simple: you only need a little time and a minimal investment.

Climbing is a sport that can be practiced at any age. It helps develop agility, strength, and coordination. Practicing it, whether on a climbing wall or in nature, helps maintain good physical fitness and develop mental resilience and teamwork.

The main objective of this course is for you to be able to climb independently, confidently performing the necessary maneuvers correctly and safely.

And if you don't feel up to it yet, you can continue climbing with us on our supervised group climbing trips. Every month we visit one of Spain's most famous climbing schools.

Activity Description:

The Yurok guide will meet you at the established meeting point. Equipment will be provided, and the course will be approximately 5 minutes long.

The course objectives are: to learn climbing techniques and acquire the necessary knowledge to climb equipped single-pitch sport routes.

The course topics are:

  • Climbing and its modalities
  • Specific climbing equipment and materials
  • Basic climbing knots, rope-in ​​knots, double figure eights, and the Machard knot
  • Applied physics in climbing
  • Braking techniques, use of appropriate equipment
  • Climbing gestures
  • Progression techniques
  • Safety techniques, correct use of anchor lines
  • Setting up belays for sport climbing
  • Main maneuvers for safely dismantling a route
  • Rappelling techniques
  • All of this content will be covered over the two days of the course.

Minimum requirements:

Not have any serious injuries that would prevent you from performing the activity.

Price: €110 per person

Each group is composed of a maximum of 10 participants. If the minimum number of 4 participants per day is not reached, the activity will be canceled. Those who have booked will be notified and the course will be postponed to the next scheduled date.

The ratio will always be 1 instructor per 10 participants.

A spot is considered reserved once 100% of the activity fee has been paid.

Minimum recommended equipment per person:

Comfortable mountain clothing appropriate for the current temperature, hiking shoes or boots,

Sun hat, sunglasses,

Sunscreen and lip cream,

Water (at least 1.5 l),

Something to eat. We don't recommend too much of it, as experience tells us that after a heavy meal, what you want is a nap and not to climb again.
