Enjoy a canyoning adventure in Cáceres with diving and jumping over pools of crystal clear water in the Hoz Canyon. The Hoz Canyon is born from the junction of several streams, some of them are born near 2000 meters, like the brook Lucia and del Gargantón.

It includes a very important and wide basin that contributes to the Minchones gorge. It is a gorge that runs through a very boxed area following a very deep fracture that together with the action of water have carved one of the most spectacular gorges of the Sierra de Gredos.

All the gorges flow into the Tietar River, which in turn is a tributary of the Tagus. Having south orientation makes the season longer by having more sun and along with the aquatic character of the ravines make their great attraction. The season can go from April to October, November depending on the rains and cold.

The most beautiful is the granite rock and it's crystal clear waters.

The approach is made along the right side of the gorge, lasting a maximum of 1 hour 30 minutes.

The beginning is an odyssey of possibilities. We can jump 12 meters, 10 meters, 8 meters, or 6 meters. Or we can start with a short 3-meter rappel and a slide. Once there, everyone chooses their starting point.

We will continue with several simple descents and some jumps over the crystal-clear pools.

As we descend, the gorge becomes narrower, and we come across a pool with the option of a 6-meter slide or a jump.

About 100 meters with some descents, we reach the most impressive pool, Charco del Infierno, with granite verticals of more than 30 meters, from which we can rappel 15 meters or jump about 12 meters. We continue the descent and reach a 10-meter rappel with a very deep pool where we can jump.

A mandatory 5-meter rappel, followed by another 4-meter one.

To reach the last 8-meter rappel, the final section is steep because it's a built-in rock. From here, the ravine slowly begins to open up but loses none of its charm, with successive small jumps and idyllic pools, until we reach the last pool called Recuencano, which has a 7-meter slide, a 5-meter jump, and another 10-meter jump, where the descent ends and we can repeat as many times as we like.

We're back in the car in 15 minutes at the most.

The group size is limited to a minimum of 4 participants and a maximum of 10.

If the minimum group size is not met, the activity will be canceled. A small group supplement of €20 for a group of 4 people and €30 for a group of 2-3 people may be charged. This supplement is subject to the agreement of all participants.
